Job Description
The Advisor of Analytics will be responsible for analyses of prescription drug and medical claims data and other data sources to quantify the impact of CVS Health programs and services, and recommend and quantify opportunities for optimization and new program development.

The role is focused on prescription benefit management and specialty areas of the enterprise.

The qualifications for the position include: Proven ability constructing, validating, and maintaining predictive and forecasting models in healthcare settings. Proven ability developing medication adherence prediction methodologies Working knowledge of a variety of analytic and data mining approaches, including parametric and non-parametric methods, clustering techniques, and decision trees. Track record of innovation in the field of healthcare analytics and/or record of peer-reviewed publications and relevant technical conference participation. Excellent problem solving skills and ability to construct analytic solutions to business problems. Proven ability to develop innovative analytic approaches leveraging all available internal and external data sources. Deep understanding of health care industry products/services and operations, specifically PBM and Specialty Pharmacy operations. Expertise with data access and manipulation and retrieving data from large databases, with tools such as SAS, SQL, Python and data visualization with Tableau or similar tools. Experience with administrative claims data such as pharmacy or medical claims. Experience conducting data analysis and machine learning in healthcare settings. Excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to interact with and influence decision-making by non-analytical business audiences. Excellent project management skills and ability to deliver in the fast-paced evolving environment


Required Qualifications
Three years of experience with data access from relational or Hadoop databases utilizing SQL or Python;

Analytic dataset preparation; statistical data analysis using tools such as SAS, R, or MATLAB; data visualization activities utilizing Tableau;

advanced analytics and machine learning activities utilizing tools such as R, Eureka, DataRobot, H2O, SparkBeyond, or SAS Enterprise Miner. Caremark, LLC
Extensive hands-on experience with SAS, SQL, Python, R, Tableau and other data, statistical, and data visualization tools and techniques, and ability to investigate and adapt emerging analytic tools and solutions into the analytic standard operating procedures;

Experience developing dashboards using visualization tools such as Tableau;

Understanding of the healthcare administration landscape and CVS Health business model, including patient and payer concerns, as well as the operational considerations in support of the business objectives;


Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying analytical methodology to solve business problems in a healthcare setting.
- Strong technical ability
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to overcome challenges throughout the analytic development process

A Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Statistics, Biostatistics, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a similar technical discipline with experience applying statistics to analytical problems is required.

Caremark, LLC will accept a Bachelor's degree and six years of experience in lieu of a Master's degree and three years of experience.
